M.A. Yusuff Ali is the Managing Director of EMKE LuLU Group of companies that is based in Abu Dhabi. The company owns the chain of Lulu Hypermarket stores in the Middle East region. The chain is also considered as one of the 10 fastest-growing retailers in the world today. Ali also owns a 4.99 percent stake in the almost-century old Catholic Syrian Bank, and a 4.47 percent share in the Federal Bank in Kerala.

Pham Nhat Vuong is a property developer from Vietnam. He is widely considered as the first billionaire from the old French Indochinese country. Among the developments he spearheaded are the Vincom Center in Saigon, Vinpearl Hotel, Vincom Village and the Vincom Center Ba Trieu in Hanoi. He also had a noodle soup business in the Ukraine that he sold to Nestle for $150 million in 2010.

Lei Jun is a technology magnate from China with a net worth of $1.75 billion as of 2013. He made his money off smart phones, particularly through his company called Xiaomi, one of the fastest growing hand phone firms in the country, which he founded and where he serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He is often described as the Chinese version of Steve Jobs.

Michael Pieper is the President of the Artemis Group, a company based in Switzerland that specializes in kitchen appliances through its subsidiary called the Franke Artemis Group. It also has a majority stake in Feintool Group, which specializes in precision cutting and automation technology. Among the company’s popular products include sinks, cooker hoods and a variety of cooking appliances.

Isabel dos Santos is an Angolan billionaire considered as the richest woman in the entire continent of Africa. She was actually born in Azerbaijan. She is also the daughter of the President of Angola, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, though she has said that she will always be a businessperson and not a politician. She has interests in a variety of companies, ranging from telecommunications, media, retail, finance, oil, diamonds, cement and energy. Her investments are made in both Angola and Portugal. She has stakes in ZON Multimedia, Unitel International Holdings, Banco BIC Portugues and Sonangol.

Fernando Belmont is a native of Peru with a net worth of $2.2 billion as of 2013. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Corporacion Yanbal International, a company established in 1967 dedicated to the development of women through the sale of cosmetics and bijouterie. Amazingly, his main rival is his own brother, Eduardo Belmont, a billionaire as well and owner of a competing company called Belcorp. Some of Yanbal’s products include items for facial care, personal care, makeup and perfumes. These items are then sold under a direct sale method. Outside of the fashion world, Rosso also serves as the President of the Red Circle investment group, Diesel Farm, the Pelican Hotel in Miami, and the professional football club called Bassano Virtus 55 S.T.

Margarita Louis-Dreyfus is the surviving wife of the French billionaire Robert Louis-Dreyfus. She used to be known as Rita Bogdanova and she is of Russian origin. After her husband died in 2009 after losing a battle with leukemia, she took over the enterprise and became the richest woman from Russia. She has been steering back the Louis-Dreyfus’ focus to agriculture commodities. It raised $350 million in a perpetual bond issue in Singapore, marking the first time that the company raised capital in the public market in its long history.
